The Breakdown We pay bandleaders directly, with the understanding that bandleaders will take responsibility for paying band members fair shares. We will leave it up to the bands how to split up the royalties. We pay at intervals according to your contract, or twice per year. This may not sound very frequent, but many record companies don't pay any royalties at all for 2 years. If you haven't made royalties of $100 yet, we'll wait until you do. Whenever possible, we prefer to pay you using Paypal, since it's free for you, very low cost, works internationally, and there's no chance of a check lost in the mail.
The Details
Last Night Music, LLC provides payment of royalties as described in each artist's contract at intervals of at least two (4) times per year, on or before March 31, June 30, September 30, and December 31st. Unless other payment arrangements are made between Last Night Music, LLC and artists, each bandleader shall create a Paypal account and maintain it in good standing. All payments from Last Night Music, LLC will be made to the bandleader's Paypal account. Last Night Music, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to select an alternative payment service other than Paypal. Payment shall be made to artist after the royalty fees amount to at least $100; Last Night Music, LLC shall hold the royalties until such time.
Payments will be accompanied by detailed revenue accounting sheets that will relate the number of recordings sold. The number will be calculated as follows: 1) each complete "recorded session" (the entire performance of one group at a particular venue on a particular night) downloaded by a customer when checking out will be tallied as "1" sale; 2) each individual track downloaded will be tallied as "0.1" sale. Thus, if a customer downloads an entire set from AllWays Lounge as well as a track from the same band at another performance at the Blue Nile, the accounting sheet will report 1.1 sales.
